1, The alloy has good forgeability forging hot temperature 1140°C final forging 900C;

Corrosion resistance
Nickel-molybdenum alloy Hastelloy B- 3 carbon, silicon content is very low, reduce the welding heat affected zone carbon and other impurity phase precipitation, so the weld also has sufficient corrosion resistance. Alloy Hastelloy B- 2 has good corrosion resistance in reducing media, such as various temperatures and concentrations of hydrochloric acid solution. In the medium concentration of sulfuric acid solution (or containing a certain amount of chloride ion) also has good corrosion resistance. It can also be used in acetic acid and phosphoric acid environments. Alloy materials can have the best corrosion resistance only when they are in a suitable metallographic state and pure crystal structure.
Scope of application
Hastelloy B- 3 alloy can be applied to all applications of the previous B- 2 alloy. Like B- 2 alloy, B- 3 is not recommend to be used in the environment where trivalent salts and trivalent copper salts are present because these salts will quickly cause corrosion damage. When hydrochloric acid comes into contact with iron and copper, it will chemically react with them to form trivalent iron and divalent copper salts.
